Why is it that so many web sites are hard to use and unbearably slow?
That’s the question we asked when we started building Country Supplies, and we’ve tried our hardest to make shopping an easy experience. However, if you’ve any problems then we’re here to help.
Finding a product
If you’re searching for a particular bit of kit then you’ve two choices. You can either use the department guide on the left-hand side of any page to navigate to the department you want, or use the search box which you’ll find at the top of every page.
The store search works by looking throughout our product database for an exact match for the word or phrase that you type, so it’s best used to find generic items such as “boot” or “coat”, or specific manufacturers such as “Snowbee” or “Napier”. The search is made on product names, brands, manufacturers and descriptions, so even terms such as “waterproof” will give meaningful results.
Placing an order
Once you’ve found the product you want then look for the Price panel, which may include options for sizes, colours etc. Make sure you select the desired options, and then click on the Buy Now button. This will place the product in your shopping basket, and whenever you have anything in your basket there will be a message at the top of each page telling you how many products and their price.
From the Basket page, you can either shop for more products, or proceed through the checkout process.
Remember that you can always remove a product from your shopping basket at any time before you make a final payment.
At the checkout
If this is the first time you’ve shopped at Country Supplies, then at the checkout we’ll ask you to provide your email address (which you will use as your sign-in name) and a password of your choice. We’ll also ask for some details about where you live. If you’re worried about providing personal information to our web site then please read our privacy policy.
You’ll also be asked to confirm the delivery address. This can be different to your billing address if you wish. As deliveries are made by our couriers between 9am and 6pm weekdays only (Monday to Friday), you may prefer to use your work address. Please make sure your postcode is correct as this is what our delivery company uses to find you! All deliveries require a signature, and we’re sorry but we can’t leave a package in an outbuilding.
Finally you’ll be asked for your credit or debit card details. This part of the site is secure and your card details are encrypted as they travel over the Internet. If you’re concerned about Internet security and shopping on the Internet then please read our We’re Secure section. Your card will be debited when the first item on your order is despatched. We’re sorry but we’re not able to accept payments by any method other than credit/debit cards.
After you have supplied your credit card details, and you are ready to order, press the ‘Place Order’ button.
Once you have submitted your order, you will get an acknowledgement of your order from Country Supplies both on the web site and via email, with an order reference number that you should quote if you need to contact us.
Cancelling an order
Once you have submitted an order, you can cancel it at any time before the items are despatched. Simply contact our Customer Services team, remembering to quote the order reference number.
Availability
If any item you order is not in stock we will let you know by email or telephone as soon as possible.
Your account
Every time you return to Country Supplies, simply click on the Please Sign In link at the top of any page to identify yourself (depending on how you have set your preferences when registering, we may identify you automatically). Once you’ve signed in you can view your order history (including receipts) and change your personal details at any time.
Our commitment
We want you to be 100 percent satisfied with any product you buy from Country Supplies. If you’re not happy with any product you’ve bought then please follow our returns procedure and you’ll receive a full refund or a replacement product.
